Brazil has found an estimated 55 billion barrels of oil off its shores, and is using a display of military power (at a cost of $12.3 million) to ensure we know they are taking it seriously.
Interesting display of military might in general. Considering Brazil is being considered for senior membership of an expanded G8, the WTO and traditionally is one of the leaders of the non-aligned movement, and it also has the potential to supply much of the world with food and biofuel, I am constantly surprised how little coverage the country gets in the UK.
